Nail The Mail Indie Box

Hello guys!

I have some very exciting news for you! I’ve been invited to join the blogger team at Nail The Mail. It’s a new online store where you can purchase awesome polishes like piCture pOlish, A-England and Foxy Paws, and the best part is that it’s in Europe. What makes Nail The Mail even more awesome is that they have two subscription boxes.

The box that I’ll be talking about is the Indie Nail The Mail Box, so if you’re interested in reading more about the mixed box, please check their FAQ section.

So, the indie box consists of two indie polishes, one indie polish made just for Nail The Mail, and an indie polish from a bigger indie brand. There’s also going to be a little extra something in the box, so that’s very exciting!

The polish made just for Nail The Mail is Foxy Paws’ ‘My Friend Has A Swimmingpool’.

‘My Friend Has A Swimmingpool’ is kind of hard to describe, but I’d call it a blue holographic shimmer with green undertones. You can also call it an aqua teal… I don’t know, it doesn’t really matter, since it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a gorgeous thing! The first coat can be a little tricky, so you’ll want to use a thicker coat and make sure that it’s even. On my photos I’m wearing two coats + a top coat. It can be a little brushstokey, but it does even out as long as you’re a bit careful with your application.

I’m actually quite pleased with this polish. I haven't really seen any swatches of this polish, so I didn't know what to expect, but wow! I'm so glad I got to take some pictures on a sunny day!

The second polish is from Glisten & Glow and it’s called ‘Mayday Malone’

‘Mayday Malone’ is a light gunmetal holographic/shimmer polish. Glisten & Glow are famous for their fast drying top coat, so I was very excited to try this one out. The formula was a little thin, so I needed 3 coats + a top coat. I managed to get an opaque look after 2 coats, but the color wasn’t ‘intense’ enough. The holographic effect wasn’t that strong either, so it looked kind of dull inside. I did like it out in the sun though. Yeah, it doesn’t have the strongest holographic effect, but it does look a little special.

I have to admit that I was a little bit disappointed, maybe because I had such high expectations, but the polish isn’t bad at all! It’s quite pretty in the sun, and the more I wore it, the more I liked it. I guess I just enjoy lighter colors when the sun is out!

The ‘little extra thing’ this time was Appeal4’s Peel Off Base Coat. I’ve tried it several times, and I think it’s okay. I can make it work around my cuticles when I make gradients, but I’m not always super satisfied when I use it as a peel off base – It's not super bad, but I'm sure you can find something better out there.

And that’s it guys! This was a box made for bloggers, so we could try it out and I'm actually quite satisfied. I really love indie polishes, but they are so hard to find and always super expensive when you have to think of shipping and such! So if you love indie polishes and you want to spoil yourself with a gift every month, this might just be the thing you need - they'll retail for 20 Euros + Shipping.

This box was a blogger box, but you should be able to find the products on their store.

This box was sent to me by Nail The Mail for a honest review, however I do get taxed for all the things I receive.
